About Katie

I am an Occupational Therapist and Director of Safe Care Solutions.  Based in Mid Wales, I have over 25 years’ experience of working in health and social care.  The Social Services and Wellbeing Act underpins what I do, and my work is centred on the person and the outcomes they wish to achieve.

I am also passionate about the health and wellbeing of our carers - whether these be family and friends or paid staff. For me it is vital that carers are valued for what they do and physically supported so that they are not at risk of injury.

This combination ensures that my assessment takes account of what matters to the individual and how carers can help to achieve this in a gentle and low risk way.

Having grown up in Wales I understand the importance of being able to speak Welsh. I can provide assessments and reports through the medium of Welsh.
